Spirituality of Awareness, Love, Light and Wisdom

Written by Mathew Naismith

Sitting back observing myself and others becoming aware, and further aware, gives me a view that spirituality void of any dogmas is of the light, a light within the darkness of ignorance.  Ignorance gives us ego, without ignorance the ego would be of little consequence; the ego certainly wouldn’t be ruling/controlling us without ignorance so why live in a reality based on ignorance especially considering ignorance can be quite destructive?

The reason ignorance is so destructive is this ego creates egotism and the more ignorant we are the more egotistical we become, for example, a lot of white men had slaves who were black. The reason for this is because black people were deemed as inferior to white people, an obvious show of utter ignorance and to own slaves had a lot to do with egotism as well showing ignorance and egotism goes hand in hand.  We can try all we like to take the controlling ego tendencies out of our lives but the controlling ego will always come back if we still live in ignorance as we are still creating an environment for the ego to exist in.  The easiest and surest way to rid ourselves of the controlling factors of the ego is rid ourselves of ignorance; the way to do this is become aware like through spiritual awareness.

Ignorance is related to the controlling ego and all of the ego’s tendencies, ignorance is also related to darkness in not being able to see and feel beyond our own ignorance, our own impeded awareness.  Ignorance is also related to a lack of wisdom, not being able to acknowledge what our own knowledge is destroying and how a lack of wisdom is impeding our common sense.  It makes sense why we are still warring and polluting the very thing we rely on for our own survival, we are still living in ignorance, so what are we living in ignorance of?

As mentioned, wisdom is one of these things we are ignorant too, without wisdom we are unable to use any knowledge sensibly and constructively but this is but one attribute that ignorance obscures from us.  The more aware, void of the controlling factors of the ego we become, the more loving we became and the more of the light we also become.  Wisdom tells us to become aware and while becoming aware we must also become unattached to the controlling factors of the ego, wisdom shows us away to become light and love instead of the darkness and chaos. One way to do this is become aware of our own ignorance first of all and how man has nearly always lived in ignorance.

Becoming aware will not automatically disperse the ego even though we are no longer ignorant but aware, are we truly aware without being aware of wisdom; we must not just be spiritually aware but spiritually wise.  The only thing that can really dispel ignorance isn’t awareness or knowledge, it’s wisdom, the wisdom in knowing how to use such awareness and knowledge in the first place.  Science is about awareness and knowledge but look at how science is destroying our environment, this isn’t very wise, actually it’s ignorance of the harm of such effects science endeavours has on ourselves and the environment.

How do we become wise instead of just knowledgeable?  Books are a good source of showing us how to use wisdom, so many of us these days use books, not just to become knowledgeable but wise. Certain literature teaches us to be wise even though we are unaware of this however not all literature will teach us wisdom.  If I was to read literature on Quantum mechanics, would I then be wise or would I just be more knowledgeable about quantum mechanics?  One must take notice if certain literature is teaching us how to use this knowledge wisely not just telling us about a kind of knowledge.  Man has learnt how to split the atom, has he learnt to use it wisely and constructively?

Literature doesn’t have to be just a source of knowledge but wisdom. If I read literature on someone else’s actual experiences, am I just learning knowledge or am I learning to be wise as well?  I’m learning to be wise as well because I am actually reading about actual experiences, actual experiences are of wisdom.  Can I gain wisdom only through knowledge?  Yes but only to a degree as it’s someone else’s wisdom and knowledge, not our own.  True wisdom comes about by experiencing what we have learnt ourselves through literature not just copying or mimicking someone else’s wisdom, this doesn’t mean we are not learning to be wise through other people’s experiences but to become truly wise we too need to have actual experiences for our own.

Is literature the only way to learn wisdom?  Like I said, our own experiences teach us wisdom which we have learnt through literature but literature isn’t the only way to gain experiences therefore wisdom.  I should also point out not everything we experience ourselves will give us wisdom, how many people go through life who haven’t learnt from their mistakes?  In this case a wise person would learn from others if they are unable to learn for themselves, this can be obtained through literature, other people who have experienced similar mistakes but have learnt from them.  Literature is handy but it’s not the only way to learn wisdom.

Another way to learn wisdom is by becoming connected to inner self or the universal consciousness, this of course again can be learnt through literature or through actual experiences of becoming connected.  Becoming connected without learning how to do this through literature doesn’t suite everyone, in this case these people are best to learn wisdom through literature, through other people’s experiences. At times this connectedness can automatically occur through trauma of some kind or through just being lucky enough to be connected without effort and without learning such things from literature. Learning wisdom to bring us out of our ignorance and into the light of love comes in many forms for us to learn through, once we have begun to become aware and wise, through whatever means, we have begun to dispel ignorance and what ignorance has created, a controlling ego and a reality of chaos.

Awareness and wisdom quite automatically brings us love and light once we start to wisely use what we know, once in the light out of the darkness of ignorance, love becomes a natural phenomenon without effort.  Awareness and wisdom quite automatically creates a reality of love and light where ignorance quite automatically creates an unwise egotistic existence shrouded in darkness and in turn creating a chaotic reality quite automatically.  There is a lot to be said about love and light for they are of awareness and wisdom, awareness and wisdom instinctively creates love and light…….

Being Spiritually Appreciative

Written by Mathew Naismith

Our own perception influences us in every way and of course these perceptions of ours are in turn influenced by what ideologies we live by, the culture we live in and the experiences and knowledge we obtain as we go through life. Our perception is influenced by so many things in our life and is hard to pinpoint when we and/or others see ourselves as being negative in some way, one or more of the above mentioned can cause such negative perceptions.  Of course when we are negatively perceiving we are obviously not appreciative, this again is of course is brought about by a number of reasons as mentioned above.

Recently I witnessed a discussion between two people, they both called the creator itself something different to the other person, this was defined by both of these people following a different ideology to each other.  The discussion was noticeably conflictive.  Both these people did not appreciate each other’s belief in a creator but focused more on their set ideology; this of course gave them a different perception to each other which made them unappreciative of each other’s belief in a creator.  Of course the culture we live in and the experiences & knowledge we obtain as we go through life can also influence us in such ways giving us fixated perceptions.

This brings me to my own perceptions and appreciations. I usually refer to the creator as an intelligent universal consciousness or something simular referring that everything is of this consciousness. Because I also live in a Christianised culture I also refer to the creator as God, which of course to certain other ideological belief systems is wrong in some way. We all have our own perception, which at times, can quite unnecessary create conflicts.

My appreciation however is somewhat different to other people in that I appreciate every moment in existing in my present ignorant state of existence, I appreciate and accept this state of existence more than if I was in a complete state of awareness.  This is of course brought on by the ideologies I follow, the culture I live in and the experiences & knowledge I have obtain in my life. You know the funniest thing is, I’m also appreciating my own aging process, it’s a huge wow to me.  This isn’t just because of friends that have passed on before being able to experience what I am now experiencing, I know they would love to be still alive today experiencing exactly what I am now experiencing.  The real reason is because of the ideologies I follow, the culture I live in and the experiences & knowledge I have obtain in my life.

Do I actually appreciate every moment of my life in every moment of my life?  No but I also appreciate this.  Yes I do think my own perception therefore awareness is different from the norm, it seems strangely positive to the max, to me this is what spiritual awareness and conscious changes are all about.

How could anyone appreciate being ignorant, this is perceived by many as being negative but I don’t see it as being negative in anyway.   Life can be unkind and has been unkind to many throughout human history but this is brought on by our own perception.  We live in a fragmented consciousness; this is why so many seek ideologies that will defragment this consciousness to one extent or another. This is why many seek out consciousness itself (God) because this consciousness isn’t fragmented; this in turn helps balance out our fragmented existence I believe.  We can’t expect fragmented consciousness to be kind because once you fragment consciousness (God) you naturally create conflicts and ignorance, yes you could look at this fragmented consciousness as being negative but I don’t.  The main reason for this is while living in this ignorant fragmented state of consciousness we are seeing and experiencing consciousness in every way possible, to me there is no better way to become aware.  Our so called sacrifices are well and truly worth it I believe.

I’m just in awe in what fragmented consciousness has made us aware of but of course to be aware of how fragmented consciousness is making us aware you need to first be aware of how fragmented consciousness is making us more aware.  This of course gives us utter appreciation of the whole of the collective not what we just personally perceive as being positive or worthy.

Spirituality- Immortality and Mortality

Written by Mathew Naismith

This certainly isn’t going to be a post for everyone especially for those who don’t believe in folklores, fables, mythology or anything that is written in the bible or other religious texts. I’m not saying these so called mythical recounts are as factual as they claim but they certainly, in my mind, worth noting.  The problem is we read these recounts in the way we perceive today, these accounts were written when we perceived quite differently to what we do today so of course they are going to seem mythical to us today.  What this post is really about however is immortality and mortality as the title depicts.

First of all, what makes one immortal as opposed to mortal? Being immortal is being God like or divine in some manner where’s mortality denotes a being that is mortal/human however what makes one actually different between being immortal and mortal?

To answer this question we need to ask another question. What’s the difference between the awareness of an immortal to a mortal? It’s the lack of awareness that makes a mortal mortal however because the immortals are far more aware than a mortal, mythology depicts them as being divine/God like.  What this is saying, to be mortal one has to live in ignorance as opposed to being aware past the thought of just being mortal, so to answer the first question the difference between being mortal and mortal is how ignorant one is of their true selves.

Mythology depicts quite often God and Goddess like beings over lording over mortal beings mainly because of the mortal’s ignorance of who they are.  There are also many other characters depicted in mythology and alike who over lord mortal beings even though they are mortal themselves.  In this case they are unaware of their own total immortality however they have enough awareness to over lord others who are totally ignorant of their true selves.

Overlording over less unaware being /entities isn’t necessarily a bad thing unless you mean harm. An overlord can protect the innocent and ignorant from harm from those who are more aware, that is why many people believe in a God like person overlording/overseeing them.  This seems to be saying only the ignorant will believe in an overlord like a God being a protector!!

Put up your hands if you are mortal? All mortal beings are ignorant however our ignorance is determined in how aware we are.  How many people who a more aware than most abuse this privilege?
This is portrayed in many mythical recounts how a more aware being/entity abused this privilege instead of complimenting this awareness with kindness.  If we didn’t have the records we have today people like Hitler could have been visually depicted as some sort of demon in another thousand years time. People like Hitler have enough awareness to take control over others but aren’t aware enough to become a protector for the good of all especially of the collective and this is where God’s and Goddesses come into mythology and alike.

This brings us to being immortal, through furthering our awareness are we able to be God like, immortal? I believe most definitely, how does one heal without touching someone? This is a part of our immortality that most of us are ignorant too. This is the difference between a God like person/entity and a person who only thinks mortally.

This brings us to why aren’t we all mortal? We are at the soul level however because of our present state of human consciousness we can’t see ourselves being physically immortal mainly because of our ignorance of such occurrences actually being a reality.  There is a problem in being immortal however, who wants to live forever? This is an important question believe it or not.

No being who is truly aware wants to live forever for the main reason a fully aware person has no ego to enforce such a desire, Buddha is a good example of this. The paradox is, if you did want to become immortal to physically live forever you couldn’t because if the ego is enforcing such desires you are not aware enough to become physically immortal in the first place.  Only full awareness, without any of the controlling factors of the ego controlling our desires, can give one eternal physical life but once you become egoless you no longer desire to live forever, this is the paradox of living forever!!

At the spirit/soul level we are all immortal however at the human physical level where mortal but only at the physical level so why have we all chosen to become ignorant of our true immortal selves?

There are numerous ways of staying ignorant and unaware of our true nature, physical pain is a good one and so is blatant ignorance.  Science is a very good way to become aware without becoming aware enough of one’s true nature of being immortal. We have all got our own way in staying mortal but why stay mortal and ignorant of our true nature, what’s the point?

In my mind we are all God’s and Goddesses in a sense because we are all truly aware and enlightened and it’s only our ignorance within realities like this one we no longer see ourselves any more than just mortal beings, well most of us anyway.  Now think of yourself as a selfless egoless God like energy source, what would you endure to experience the essence of all of what God/consciousness is especially in physical form? That is why we are all here I believe!!

The Creativity of Ignorance

Written by Mathew Naismith

As usual I like to focus on the positives of the seemingly negatives in our lives & ignorance is but another one of these envisaged negatives however in this case it really depends on how accepting you are of this reality or not in how positive ignorance will seem to you.  We all have our own path to follow, some are accepting of their immediate environment some not so accepting depending on what we came here to do & what messages we have come here to relay onto others.  So what has ignorance to do with how accepting we are or not of reality like this one?

The following statement from me was in response to a statement made by another in reference to the following which should hopefully answer the question above: “Seems really convenient to suggest that the Universal Physics realized by sages/solitary realizers throughout all human history are made up belief systems that can just simply stop with you. It doesn't work that way!”

My reply

There is absolutely no absolute truth within realities like this one, it is impossible to bring forth this sort of truth without changing realties like this quite dramatically.   Shamans/sages & even Jesus, Buddha & so forth have never brought forward & conversed absolute truth, that is metaphorically impossible, what they have done is bring us more of the truth & this is how ideological concepts change over time.  The reason it’s impossible is if any physical being in realities like this one ever came across absolute truth their vibrations would change to the extent they would no longer be able to exist in these kinds of realities however if by some chance someone did it would change this reality quite instantly, this reality would no longer exist the way it is.

So what keeps realities like this one the way they are? Ignorance & ignorance denotes fear of one kind or another. This is saying everyone who has ever existed only existed in this reality because of fear which also includes the most spiritually connected person ever to walk upon this Earth including Shamans/sages.  So what are we fearing?  Knowledge/absolute truth which ignorance hides us from so we can exist within realties like this one.  The Mayans are a good example of what happens to physical beings within realities like this one when too much of the absolute truth is known.

Scientists & Shamans for example only bring forth portions of the big picture or absolute truth, no one ideological concept dominates the truth.  If we were to bring all these ideological human concepts together we would see more of the bigger picture or know more about the absolute truth which of course would change this reality to what it is today however it wouldn’t change it as much as the totality of absolute truth, you could say that is in God’s hands. Consciousness, the source, God or whatever you want to call it is unable to live amongst us as we do in realities like this one; it is utterly impossible however it does through us so in fact it can exist amongst us but only in ignorance of itself as we are ignorant of our truer selves which of course is consciousness itself.  It is funny to think the only reason realities like this one exists is through ignorance, ignorance of our truer self & this is why I say all we have to do is remember who we are without demising & denouncing this that & the other  to become enlightened.   How hard do we want to make it?

Peace man.

Probably most spiritually aware people will say they don’t fear anymore but they are still with us so they must have some kind of fear within them still otherwise their vibrations would change to the extent they would no longer exist here within this reality. I’m not talking about a fear here that is going to just effect you but others as well in the sense that it is possible to bring too much of the absolute truth forth that will affect everyone not just ourselves.  However as we become more spiritually aware I believe we become more intuitively aware of the repercussions of opening up too much to the absolute truth, this isn’t a frightful alarming fear but a sedate collective fear warning us of the disruptive influences  of knowing too much at any given time. However most of us when we get to a certain stage of awareness will automatically realise & feel one shouldn’t go too much further because of the repercussions on those who are content with this reality. There is a way however to bring forth more of the absolute truth within this reality, grounding, the more we are grounded the less chance of changing our vibrations to the extent of our disappearance & the more we ground ourselves the more of the absolute truth we can relay onto others but again we must be wary of other people’s free will.

We must remember here, not everyone is following the same or even simular path as ourselves & we really haven’t the right to force our paths onto others who are more content & accepting within this reality but in saying this spiritually aware people must lead the way, always, to a better existence.   This of course is done by listening to your intuitive feelings & insights; any action beyond this point is usually met with a brick wall but sometimes with one’s own disappearance mainly because of the vibrational change of knowing too much to keep on living in realities like this one.  Have we anything to fear, frightfully so, of going beyond this point ourselves? Not at all & in fact you will probably feel like you’re are back at home, not home as of this reality but home as being more aware of yourself.

So in all what is so creative about ignorance? Ignorance creates realities void of the full understanding & knowing of the absolute truth but why create realities created by ignorance?  To live & experience every part of consciousness in every possible way, what better way is there for the consciousness itself to know of itself!!  The reason for our ignorance is there is no way that a physical being can, in my mind, know of the totality of the absolute truth & exist in physical form, the vibrational pull would be enormous on our physical & mental self that could send us loony, that’s if we didn’t just disappear that is from such a shock so we are separated from absolute truth in various ways.  My best advice is listen & learn especially from oneself as all you need to know is within you.

A Life of Many Shades

Written by Mathew Naismith

“Life is about many colours, it’s the way we perceive the shades that makes the difference”….Love Mathew

Living in Different Shades of Life: Ask yourself what is life, is it what is presented to you or is it the way you perceive or take life either it be in darker shades or lighter shades? We perceive life through many shades of colours & the longer we live the more shades we are most likely to experience & from these shades we learn & become more knowing of each other but most importantly knowing more of ourselves as each shade is teaching us something about who we are & what our environment is all about, in actual fact it’s the way we perceive these shades that moulds/creates our environment so what we see within our environment is who we are collectively.  For an example a person who loves city life will see within their environment something quite different to someone who loves country life, this is the way we perceive the shades of life so is one more negative or positive over the other? No because it’s the way we personally perceive life but what isn’t too positive is when one disrupts other people’s shades of life too much. Look at it this way, if a city loving person came out to the country & only saw condominiums & their own shades instead of the county person shades & change the country to simulate their shades they are in fact changing the country loving people shades, this is when life becomes complicated, negative & conflictive when it needn’t be.

I was born & brought up in the country myself & couldn’t see for many years anything much positive about city life until recently, I can now see what people see in city life because all one has to do is see in different shades of colour to appreciate what’s around them however we must all be wary that everyone deserves to be left within their shades of colours if there not hurting or disrupting others. I would like to mention it’s nearly impossible for anyone living in the darker shades of any life to see anyone else’s shades of life; negativity is plain & simple ignorance where’s positivity is of knowing & awareness however all shades are our teachers in teaching us about ourselves & our environment but one must always remember the darker shades are of negativity therefore ignorance, one can only learn so much from this. We have holistically been living within these darker shades since the dawn of man, it’s probably about time we changed our shades or modes of thoughts & let go of ignorance & take on knowing & awareness which are of course of the lighter shades of life.

A Balance of Shades: It’s not just the lighter or darker colours that make us who we are but how we perceive each colour in it’s shade for example we could live in the lighter shades but all the lighter shades might have a darkish hue about them, it’s this hue that also makes us who we are & gives us our mode of thoughts to live by.  We just don’t live by colours or even shades but also the hue of each shade which give us our individuality & each individual is diverse from another & that is what we learn from however, this is the trick, we will only learn from each other if we positively live in the lighter shades as this denotes knowing & awareness as mentioned previously, we can’t learn from each other while living by the darker shades alone as this denotes ignorance, an ignorance of each other.  So is this saying light represents knowing & awareness but the dark only ignorance so it seems obvious no one can learn from ignorance? Everyone learns form ignorance but it’s up to us in how long & how much in the darker shades we want to go, as mentioned one can only learn so much from ignorance & learning from ignorance alone has no self or holistic purpose as ignorance is just plain ignorance however if we use the darker shades as well as the lighter shades in unison we become more aware & knowing. Is this saying the more we live within the lighter shades the more aware & knowing we will be? No because we can only also learn so much from the light as well but in conjunction the lighter & darker shades will teach us everything we will ever want to know.

I will put this a different way, we need to light of knowing to learn from ignorance fore without light we will stay ignorant & visa-versa, the light is as knowing as the dark is of ignorance which is saying without the ignorance we wouldn’t have true knowing. So what is there to know about ignorance as it’s only of ignorance? Most of us are ignorant of who we truly are but by using the lighter shades of knowing & awareness we can then become more knowing of ourselves & our environment, in other words we are using ignorance to rediscover ourselves so the dark shades of life play a huge part in our knowing & awareness, ignorance is forcing us to become aware unless we want to stay ignorant of course which has no purpose & leads nowhere.
