A Description of the True Collective

Written by Mathew Naismith

I have had to totally restructure this post; I even changed the title from “Life beyond Religion, Control and Concepts” to “A Description of the True Collective”. Because I have a lot coming into right now to do with these topics, I am going to break this post up into two parts. In the first part I am going to insert a link to another post of mine which will show a complete discussion I had with a particular person on Dharma and karma.

The second part of this post will look into why each separate ideological concept and belief system is an important part of the collective; I will also show why we shouldn’t have disdain for such ideological concepts and belief systems that are not of our own. The bigger picture tells the truth behind each and every ideological concept and belief system I feel.

Part 1

In recent days I’ve had an interesting conversation with another person mainly about karma and Buddha-dharma, this conversation was brought about by my last post titled, Dharma, Karma, Misjudgements and Judgment.  I would like to share the hole conversation within this post but it’s a little to lengthy, I will however point out a couple of the points of the discussion which I found interesting as below

“We are coming towards the fading of the true Buddha-dharma and the beginning of false teachings”.

My response to this was as follow, “What I get out of the Buddha-dharma is ending is that old religious ideological concepts are coming to an end, we must all learn to let go of our fixation to the old ideological concepts to take on the new, this sounds like the push and pull effect but it’s not.”

The response to this was as follow,” Finally, karma is a universal law. It doesn't end just because the Buddha-dharma ends. The Buddha talked about it to bring out consciousness towards it. To be aware of its workings.

Please do not misunderstand. The Buddha-dharma once perfected has no concepts. It's not an ideology, it's a way of life, a way to change our life to view phenomena differently. To reduce sufferings and finally to end sufferings. Any attachment to a concept or ideology is a barrier to achieving this clarity and wisdom.”

My reply to the above, “Indeed Bob, the understanding I have is Buddha-dharma isn’t of control or religion, once this state is accomplished, there is no need for control and religion. Like I stated, only the ignorant or less aware need religion therefore to be controlled, otherwise they can do harm onto themselves and others.”

The complete discussion if anyone is interested.

Part 2

This conversation lead to realising that the consciousness we have been living in is like a jigsaw puzzle, or more precisely puzzles. Each part of the jigsaw makes up the pig picture, the absolute truth of that particular consciousness, I should state that every jigsaw puzzle represents a type of consciousness experienced, in our case an ego driven consciousness primarily influenced by ego. Each piece of this jigsaw is worthy for without these pieces we don’t have a complete picture, it's important to realise that each piece represents an ideological concept and belief systems for example, Buddhism and science, which make up the bigger picture, the completed jigsaw.

I will now insert part of a reply I gave to another person in relation to spiritually aware trying to totally separate themselves from religion, basically separating themselves from the bigger picture, the completed jigsaw puzzle.

Look at it like this, every ideological concept and belief is a part of a jigsaw, each piece fits within a certain part of this jigsaw, now this jigsaw, when finished, shows us the bigger picture, when a piece is missing, are we going to have the whole big picture?  No, this is because part of the picture is missing because we have disdain for such pieces of ideological concepts and beliefs and discarded it as not being a part of us.

Fig.1

Now look at the completely finishes jigsaw again, every piece has its own place within the jigsaw, what is the obvious thing that sticks out other than the big picture and that every piece has its place in the bigger picture? It’s all interconnected isn’t it as if it’s a collective?

Now what does this completed jigsaw mean other than a collective, a collective what?

Each piece represents a separate ideological concept and belief, a separate consciousness state, that is until the jigsaw is completed. Once completed, all these ideological concepts and beliefs become one consciousness or an absolute truth of that one now completed consciousness.

Each jigsaw when completed shows us the bigger picture but what is this bigger picture?

Each jigsaw represents a conscious state that is influenced by certain traits unique to that conscious state, that completed jigsaw. In our case it’s ego which created chaos. Basically the bigger picture in our case shows us a picture of ego and chaos which is made up of numerous jigsaw pieces showing various degrees of ego which makes up a complete jigsaw puzzle, the bigger picture. One must remember, each piece is connected to the other, there is no true separation of consciousness.

                                                 Fig.2

Fig.3

Now when every ideological concept and belief systems is expressed and accepted as a piece of the pig picture, our jigsaw is completed as fig.1 shows but as fig. 2 shows, this completed jigsaw is in within another frame, this frame is but another jigsaw that needs to be completed, in other words our completed jigsaw made up of ideological concept and belief systems like Buddhism and science for example, become but one piece of a much bigger jigsaw as fig.2.

Fig.3 shows but anther much larger jigsaw puzzle that the puzzles shown in 1 and 2 are but one piece of when completed themselves, in other words when each jigsaw puzzle is finished, this whole puzzle becomes another piece within an even bigger jigsaw puzzle, an even bigger picture as Fig.3 shows. Each jigsaw puzzle represents a type of consciousness experienced and expressed, this ever expansive consciousness has no boundaries therefore is infinite within it’s expansiveness and experiences.

So what is this denoting, saying?

It’s saying that there is no true absolute truth for consciousness is for ever expanding, it’s infinite within it’s expansiveness, this however doesn’t mean that when a jigsaw is finished this isn’t absolute truth, the finished jigsaw becomes absolute truth for that type of consciousness, once all the pieces come together, truth in our ideological concept and belief systems become known.  Each piece of the jigsaw on their own can only speak of absolute truth within that ideological concept and belief systems, these ideological concept and belief systems on their own do not tell us absolute truth without the completion of the jigsaw, the bigger picture.

What I am trying to relay here is that every ideological concept and belief is important to the bigger picture, to absolute truth, this means all ideological concepts and beliefs are important to the collective not just the ones that are personally and individually important to us. This of course can be hard to perceive until you start to perceive the bigger picture, the completed jigsaw puzzle within this consciousness.

Dharma, Karma, Misjudgements and Judgment

Written by Mathew Naismith

I’m going to try to put the following into perspective straight up, try to realise this is only my perspective  and shouldn’t be taken to heart.

Karma = western hell + misjudgements + ignorance
Dharma = western heaven + judgment + awareness

This is basically stating that we can produce a heaven or hell on Earth or both simultaneously.  The following was my replies to certain other threads in relation to religion, spirituality, judgement and misjudgements but mainly to do if religion is viable or not, you might be a little surprised.

G'day Lisa

"it is also a handy tool to control the masses"

I was just talking about this with a self-proclaimed atheist recently who believes in an afterlife, western religion in particular seems to be based on fear, this of course is to control the masses, can we just judge this as a bad thing though?

I think it’s a very good thing to control the masses if the masses are ignorant or unaware of their true nature for only in ignorance can we destroy. This kind of control based on fear stopped the masses from destroying themselves, however, as the dark ages proved, it can be used to be very destructive as well.

What does ignorance give us, unbiased or bias judgment? It of course gives us bias judgment (misjudgements), if we were to continually misjudge, we would indeed destroy ourselves. Control over this misjudgement saved us from ourselves to some extent.

Now the quote I made up, “For only in ignorance can we destroy”, is quite definable in that ignorance creates misjudgements and destruction, in actual fact only in awareness will we not destroy.

Basically what I am saying is religion, based on fear, is for the ignorant only for the ignorant need to be controlled to save them from themselves, the aware no longer need religion to control them by fear. Why are so many people pulling away from religion? I think it’s because we are becoming more aware.

G'day Rajendranath

Separating religion from spirituality is very hard to do especially when so many spiritually aware people use eastern religion to form their spirituality. The big difference between religion and spirituality is one is based on fear and the other one isn't or shouldn't be.

Let's look at karma which is an eastern concept, it's fear based but not quite to the same extent as going to hell but it's still based on fear. Spirituality itself isn't based on fear even though we have taken on the concept of karma within spirituality; we have the awareness that we could have to redeem ourselves in the next life if we don't practice in dharma.

You could define karma as living in ignorance and dharma as living in awareness, would we accumulate karma if we were truly aware? The answer is of course no so dharma is certainly in my mind in reference to awareness.

Dharma is a religious concept practiced in Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism, to practice in dharma is to be aware in my mind but of course you need to be aware to practice in dharma in the first place. What is one of the fundamental traits of dharma?  Unbiased judgment, this unbiased judgement quite automatically defuses (neutralises) bias judgments (misjudgements), in other words chaos and destruction.

You could also relate hell with karma and dharma with heaven; this to me wouldn’t be far from the truth, however not in the same context as when we die we go to hell. To me karma and dharma are saying heaven and hell can be created on Earth or even in the afterlife.

What I am saying is true spirituality is about dharma, an existence that is no longer based on fear but an awareness that no longer needs a fear based religion.

I should point out that defining people ignorant or aware is determined by observation, being the observer, not judgement, is it a bad or good thing to be ignorant? It’s neither of course; it’s just another way to exist and experience consciousness.

Free Will??

Written by Mathew Naismith

This is always an interesting topic to discuss, does it matter if free will exists or not to us?  Well actually it does and it’s a very important topic to make a little more transparent. The reason for this is it has everything to do with our mentality, if we don’t believe it exists we most probably start to feel entrapped, we really don’t need to add any further to our dilemmas.  The other side of the coin is, if we have free will, then we can do as we like/desire!!

Actually I don’t think it’s either way, we don’t have total free will but we are also not totally entrapped either, to me it’s a balance of the two, a balance we, this is the point, chose to live out at the soul level.  We chose at the soul level to live in a reality that is controlling mainly because of the controlling factors of the ego plus we are influenced by natural forces like earth quakes and tsunamis, well not entirely……I will elaborate a little more on this latter on!!

Reincarnation: We have a karma that needs to be paid, so we have to come back to a reality like this one to repay such a debt, this obviously isn’t free will or is it? The point I'm trying to make is we don’t have to come back, as soon as we die we immediately relive our lives, other than this it’s our choice to come back and physically repay such karma. We don’t owe anything to anyone we have harmed if we learn after reliving our lives after our demise; it’s up to us if we want to try to physically repay such debt to others at the soul level .  Life is all about our souls not our human selves; to me life’s never been about our human selves, once we have learnt at the soul level after our demise, we can move on without having to physically repay bad karma debt.

Destructive Realities:  What soul would want to live in a destructive reality, obviously this isn’t free will at the soul level or is it?  At first glance we see ourselves being totally entrapped by a highly egotistically driven reality; we have wars and other conflicts we can do little about, the same goes with the natural disasters that devastate the planet making life even more miserable for us. We have no control over all this so we must be entrapped; we obviously have no free will in these occurrences or so we think!!

What part of us doesn’t have free will, the human self, the soul or both?  Let’s look at the human self first up. We are even told what to believe, we still have free will, to an extent, like when I have a cuppa or in the way I choose to walk, but as a whole we are controlled at the human level, we are obviously entrapped.

Now at the soul level, are we entrapped when we chose at the soul level to experience such things? No, we have total free will at the soul level. Would this God consciousness be controlling us at the soul level? Again no, to be controlling one has to be expressive of the controlling ego, God’s consciousness isn’t egotistically driven. If there is no control at the soul level, what would be stopping us expressing free will at this level?  Yes, there are other souls who are living in ignorance who will be controlling if they can but we still have a choice to either be influenced by such souls or not after our demise.

Don’t underestimate the soul, the more in touch you become to your own soul the more free will you realise you have even at the human level, you become a lot more accepting and less traumatised.  Don’t expect to accept everything within your life, if something isn’t in tune with your own vibrations and is making you feel out of balance, you don’t have to accept this in your life however, you must accept this is a part of life itself, this is a true expression of free will.

Even after saying all this about our free will at the soul level, we still don’t have all that much free will at the human level.

The more connected you become to your soul the more free will you realise you have. This still doesn’t make sense, what free will do I have at the human level in an earth quake for instance or even a war?  At the moment we have very little free will; I believe this is due to us living in ignorance especially of our souls as I believe life is really about our souls not our human selves.  We must also remember, we chose at the soul level to be in ignorant of our souls, we chose not to have free will.

What is the point in living in ignorance and feeling entrapped without being able to express free will?  The point is to experience all of what consciousness is; this is why we reincarnate to repay bad karma, our souls are learning through actual experiences. Could you imagine trying to learn everything about everything through books without actually experiencing what you have read, there is no point unless you come back to repay bad karma, actually experience what you have read.  You could say it’s a game or a play being played out and we all have our own roles to play out so each of us have actual experiences.  Could you imagine being an actor/actress reading your part in a play and not being able to play it out, human life is no different to me!!

We are now learning about free will we have and don’t have, free will is but another play we have yet to play out, to experience. Once we realise we do indeed have free will, we will change this reality quite dramatically. What about natural disasters, we have no control over them therefore we still have no free will!!

Once we truly realise we have free will, nature will react to our free will.  Nature is only reacting in accordance to our ignorance, the less ignorant we become the less nature will react violently. In time, we are that nature therefore we have free will of nature, we do indeed have free will.

Once we realise we totally have free will, where is the balance between free will and entrapment?  We only needed this kind of balance between free will and entrapment to experience being controlled while we were acting in a play about being entrapped. While being entrapped, we have gone too far losing most of our free will at the human level but this was part of the play being acted out.  At the soul level we still had free will unbeknownst to our human selves; this was the balance between our human selves and our soul to give our soul the experiences it needed.

Once we learn free will, we will give balance to all of nature, including us, making it far less destructive.  The point is, don’t try and act the victim or the victimiser, just be and experience who you truly are, your soul.

I've inserted a few links that might help you become even more connected to your soul. The info in the first link seems too simple but it does work to one extent or another.

Karma v Living in the Present

Written by Mathew Naismith

I think most of us realise we can’t live in the past but can we just live in the present without learning form the past? Recently I came across a post about being in the present, the thing that struck me is it said about the past being obsolete, once we learn to live in the present does this make the past obsolete?  The following was my reply…..

There is a cliché to this, if we can’t learn from the past how are we going to learn in the present, we will make the same mistakes over and over again which human history shows quite plainly.

The only reason we have a past is to learn from it, what would be the point in having a past otherwise!! I do believe however not all realities have a past or future, life’s always conducted to the present moment, that is not the case for us however. I don’t believe we are at that point in being able to live just for the present, we are getting slightly ahead of ourselves I believe. Yes I believe we are collectively entering into this phase but we must be aware in not getting ahead of ourselves. Again if we can’t learn from the past it is obvious we are not going to learn from the present, this is karmic, we can’t avoid this karma, karma is there for us to learn from.

We are getting ahead of ourselves in many areas  which is actually a good sign we are entering into this new phase of only living for the present, however we must beware we are getting ahead of ourselves  otherwise we will never get to only living for  the present, it will always be at arm’s length.

To me it would seem we haven’t learnt from our past collectively so how can we go onto the next phase of our conscious development at the soul level to living in the present?  It would seem to me we can’t mainly because we haven’t collectively payed our karmic debt, this is obvious due to the fact we haven’t still learnt everything from our past. We are still making the same mistakes so we still have a karmic debt to pay and the only way to pay this debt is to learn from our past.  This is very much in line with our own karma; we can’t go on unless we have learnt from our past lives.

Can we then live in the present while learning from the past? Yes I believe so.  Learning from the past is different to living in the past though, learning from the past is karmic but living in the past is living old karmic debts that are already payed.  So how can you tell the difference between karma that’s already payed to karma that isn’t?  Are we still using the same destructive mentality than we did a thousand years ago collectively? In a lot of ways no but in other ways yes, warring is a good example of this and so is slavery and so on. Actually we have boosted a number of old destructive mentalities so really at the collective level we still have a fair amount of karma to pay before we go on collectively to the next phase of human spiritual development.   Yes we can seemingly achieve the next phase of living in the present but this is only at the personal level, none of us are about the personal but the collective and I do say seemingly because living personally in the present is transitory.  Anything that is personal is transitory because the next life you live you will be right back to paying the collective karmic debt again. If you keep living in this personal transitory state from life to life, you haven’t assisted the collective to pay it’s debts and if you haven’t helped in this how is your own karmic debt payed?

All we really need to do is be aware of the collective karmic debt and do our best to clear this debt.  We also need to remember, we have all helped to create this collective karmic debt in our past lives, past life recall is a good way to clear this debt personally, so the past isn’t obsolete after all until we pay our debts personally and collectively. You could say by clearing our own personal debt we are assisting in the collective debt, to me that would be correct in my assumptions however living personally in the present while thinking the past is obsolete isn’t the way to go because we still haven’t paid our collective debt.

As long as there is a collective debt to pay, personally living just in the present isn’t going to help the collective at all and will only help prolong this karmic debt paying.  Try not to ever think while living in the present the past is obsolete, it’s not as long as there is a karmic debt to pay personally and collectively.  True spirituality has never been about the personal self, it’s has always been about the collective, the collective self.

Karma, Ego and Neutral Space

Written by Mathew Naismith

I’ve been having some wonderful and insightful conversations with various other people recently, below is but another one of these conversations which stemmed from my last post Releasing negatives II.  It’s funny where an insightful conversation leads to at times.

Angela
The "push-pull" effect you speak of is karma. Karma feels like friction / resistance. When we are able to witness the karma, that is when we enter the "neutral" space, and the charge behind it can be defused. Since we are in a human body, we will never be 100% free of push & pull... even if we are enlightened. The body itself is comprised of genetic karma. That is why witnessing is so powerful and has the potential to free us. Once we are well practiced in witnessing, it becomes easier to act in compassion. Because from a free and clear mind, we see suffering for what it really is: The unhealed karma and pain of generations of humanity. Thanks for your posts. I love the way you dive deep into a subject.

Mathew
So when you become the observer of karma/ego we are in neutral space where nothing is either real or an illusion however when re-entering into karma/ego everything of the push & pull effect become real again for us.

Is karma a sign of the pain of the ego?  Never collated karma & ego together like this before. If we used the ego more constructively, thus inflicting less pain on the ego, karma wouldn’t be as bad as it is. The more we use the destructive tendencies of the ego the worse the karma will get because we are inflicting more pain on the ego itself.  Self-harm….spooky.

Angela
Exactly! When we observe it as a neutral witness (watch it like it's television) that is when we are no longer identified with it. We don't take ownership of it. We don't attach to our pain body as though it were our true self. One of us feels it, attaches to it..... and the other one witnesses it. It's just like Eckhart Tolle says: "maybe only one of these (parts of the self) is real?" And yes, the more we attach to our pain body, the heavier the effects of the karma are. The ways of karma are unfathomable. .......spooky indeed. Here's a good approach: "See the job, do the job, stay out of the misery! "

Mathew
Angela Bothwell I always looked at karma differently and now I know why, at one point I didn't believe karma existed, obviously because karma doesn't exist for us in this neutral space. I just didn't know at that point how karma could exist!!

Psychologically, self-harm is a serious issue denoting a serious mental problem, what are we doing as a collective? Self-harm which again denotes a mental problem at the collective level.

Who are our psychotherapists to assist us out of this obvious mental problem? Buddha, Jesus, people like Eckhart Tolle & Deepak Chopra and so on. Insert: We can too be our own therapists if we become the observer.

It's funny to think that the destructive factors of the ego are our mental problem coaxing us to self-harm. We are mentally sick people at the collective level, just never looked at this way before.

What is above is also below...strange isn't it!!

It's a lovely pleasure talking with you Angela.....

The conversation ended there with Angela liking what I said in my last reply. It’s great getting confirmation within my views because at times I do feel alone in my thoughts.

Karma, Souls & Fixated Attachments

Written by Mathew Naismith

The following response was from me in regards to a person enquiring about karma from a thread in the link directly below; it’s funny how fixated attachments can lead to being fearful at the soul level which can lead to what we term bad karma.

G’day Cheeneka

It’s our souls that are learning here as it’s eternal not the human self as it’s temporary, when we pass on our life flashes before our souls, this is when the soul learns what we have done badly or not, in other words we re-enact out our life’s karma then not in another life however some souls with fixated attachments will not learn then because any fixated attachments taken in the afterlife obscures our re-enactment thus our fixated karma stays with us into as many lives as it takes to become detached. All what we call bad karma is of fixated attachments.

Fixated attachments come about when the soul is fixated on a few attachments life after life until it learns to become unfixed to these attachments. Our soul can become that fixated that it no longer realises it’s own immortality & only thinks of itself to whatever it’s fixated too, in this case anything to do with humanism.  There are souls that never learn to become unfixed to attachments thus become of the dark however there is always hope because within every soul there is a core of light which is untouched since the souls creation, it’s of pure consciousness & yes unconditional love.

Attachments can only be of realities of time & space, the souls core of every being/entity or energy form is of pure consciousness which is of realties of no time & space which is where everything was created from I believe & this is why the souls core can never be tainted, it stays pure & this is why beings/entities of evil intent shy away from beings of light, this I have experienced personally.  What is happening here when a true light being comes across beings of darkness is reminding the soul what they really are, the beings of darkness soul automatically picks up on the light not just from the beings of light but from the untainted core of their own soul.  They are far more fearful of beings of light than any being of light could be of them; fear is of fixated attachments & yes can evolve into what we call bad karma & eventual evil intent at the soul level.

Love

Mathew
