The World of True Spiritual Acceptance pt.12

thought animals

Written by Mathew Naismith

This post will compile a few of the topics that I have discussed previously in the hope of explaining the concepts of the relation between these factors that I have written about by explaining the relevance & connection these factors have in our lives.

Modes of Thoughts: The relevance of our personal & collective modes of thought is quite compelling because it’s what dictates what we understand & acknowledge & what we don’t. So one can now understand how important it is to be aware of its influence on us in every way.  Modes of thought are linked to consciousness, if we want to stay with the collective mode of thought, (the present consciousness), our acknowledgment is going to be limited to that level of consciousness but if one wants to expand on one’s individual mode of thought our mode of thought needs to change. Scientist have this problem, they think in one mode that’s it but with new science techniques & concepts coming out all the time science is changing, it’s actually changing its conscious understanding to a more open minded mode of thought instead of a fixated mode of thought. When we are fixated on any mode of thought that is when it becomes dogmatic because we think this is it but dogmas only fixate us the one conscious understanding when there are many more to discover.

Spirituality on the other hand shouldn’t have any fixated mode of thought but of course through religions it can & the reason for this is dogmatic views, beliefs, doctrines & principles. True spirituality is accepting of all because one doesn’t have doctrines & belief’s to hinder further conscious expansion in actual fact this is how some of the religions even today are set up. Our modes of thought are who we are at that level of conscious understanding & it’s impossible to know beyond that sort of understanding unless one takes on a different mode of thought this is why we disagree so often between each other we just don’t have the same conscious understanding.

meditaion animalsMeditation & Oneness: This is where oneness comes into it, if we all had the same mode of thought our conscious understanding would be the same & yes we would be less conflictive obviously however this is only showing oneness between each other, to obtain true oneness of all one needs to accept that everything is one vibrative energy form as what can & should be experience through meditation for example as I have explained in previous posts. Especially in a meditative state if one can’t just be in a state of awareness without visualisation you’re not truly in a oneness state of awareness however when one is aware without visual conformation during the meditation you could very well be in a true oneness state . The actual state of oneness is being totally devoid of any modes of thoughts from you, anyone else or even other beings & entities.  I know I said we need to change our mode of thought which is still a mode of thought but it’s the type of mode of thought that will lead you to a true oneness state. Did you notice I said state not mode of thought when relating to true oneness as so many spiritually aware people say they are at one but they are still in a mode of thought while in this state of oneness as any visualisation denotes a mode of thought, one needs to just accept it’s just as a state of awareness that’s it with no visualisation to be truly in a oneness state.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying it’s wrong to visualise while in a meditative state as any type of meditation is helpful but what I am saying unless you can switch off from any kind of mode of thought you won’t reach true oneness. It seems quite hard to rid ourselves from a new mode of thought that will allow our conscious to expand further but that is just part of the process to reaching into a true oneness state & if you think of it just being a part of a process it much easier to accomplish this state of awareness.

spiritual animalsCollective/Individual Modes of Thought: This seems strange, to expand our consciousness we need to change our mode of thought & to reach true oneness one needs to rid oneself of any mode of thought including modes of thought coming from other beings & entities? Yes this is true but only if one wants to experience true oneness, there are other states of oneness one can experience between each other & our immediate environment. You see our environment is a collective mode of thought as we can only detect what we consciously understand, if we changed our consciousness we would see much more. For an example someone who is conscious of butterflies will see a lot more butterfly activity than someone who’s into cars or trees, this is their personal mode of thought but collectively we also have the same mode of thought which is our whole detectable environment which influence us collectively of course.

How many interests, psychological states of mind & different personas are there? This is how many individual modes of thought there are but these individual modes of thought aren’t what influence us the most, it’s the collective mode of thoughts that influence us the most. Our immediate detectable environment dictates our being or not being depending on the environment like with war or being terminally ill but of course having an interest of being let’s say a soldier increases the mode of thought of war. War is a mode of thought otherwise it wouldn’t exist but if your personal mode of thought was being a soldier this increases the influence that the collective mode of thought of war will have on you.  We have all been dictated by war in one way or another only because of the collective thought modes but if very few of us had that mode of thought of soldering, power mongering & wealth, which are all different thought modes that lead us to war, war wouldn’t exist.

To make something happen & exist a collective mode of thought is needed for this to happen, if an individual had a mode of thought to being a soldier war still wouldn’t occur because it’s not collective, only through collective modes of thought can worldwide change happen.

EVOLVING THROUGH MODES OF THOUGHT

This part of true spiritual acceptance is going to look at desires again but in a more positive sense & I will theorise upon this in regards to our needs by collating the importance of  the need for both desires & needs to influence us at the right time in human history so we may evolve.

Before I go on I better explain the difference & the cohabitations between needs & desires. Generally needs are of acceptance & non-conflictive & desires are of non-acceptance & conflictive however there are times they work as one.
Needs & desires are at times in opposite reaction to each other but at other times they are in unison & while this action & reaction is going on we are evolving as I will explain further under the appropriate headings.

hidingEvolving Through Different Thought Modes: Ask yourself would have we evolved if we just catered for our needs & the answer would have to be a flat no because to evolve one has desires to be better in some way, to just cater for one’s needs all we would be doing is living off the land as hunter & gatherers but were we supposed to evolve in this way?  The only way for a human to evolve is through desire to be more aware & knowing of one’s environment & self which of course makes us more conflictive & the more desiring we became the more conflictive we are, this doesn’t sound to positive but it is as I will explain further.

As I said if we just catered for our needs we could have just stayed as hunter & gatherers in a semi pristine environment but man’s makeup isn’t built that way, it would have been nice in one way to keep our world free of man’s toxic destructive way but that wasn’t going to be the case as I believe we have come here to evolve & evolve we did through the only means we had, desire & the associated conflicts to such desires.  It’s funny to think we have used conflicts to evolve but if you looked at it most of man’s advancements have come from conflicts like penicillin but in saying this things like penicillin was also a need so our needs & desires obviously coexist for us to evolve, what this is saying is to evolve our desires have also become our needs.

Our desires & related conflicts have allowed us to evolve through history to build base system of knowledge for us to evolve to the extent we are today, it’s funny to think the only way we could have evolved is through conflicts. I know a lot of spiritually aware people are going to say that we could have just chosen to evolve through spiritual knowing which would have diverted us around having such conflicts to evolve from but we would have evolved quite differently because it’s the mode of thought that makes us what we are & spirituality is but anther mode of thought. We have chosen to evolve this way for whatever reason maybe to experience physical existence in its rawest form who really knows but the thing is we obviously chose to evolve for whatever reason in this way, it was the way it was meant to be obviously.

Noun
mode of thought (plural modes of thought) The way in which a person tends to think based on experiencebeliefslearning and reason.

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERAThe Right Timing: I’m going to theorise here & say that the mode of thought of desiring was a process that was needed for us to advance enough to the stage we are at now; it was all a part of the process as I will try to explain.

The thought mode of desiring, (consumerist materialism), has grown to a point that most of everybody on this planet accept for true spiritualists & the odd tribes people desire more or a better existence through consumerist materialism, this mode of thought has become epidemic for a very good reason & that reason is not just for our own pleasure but to advance enough technologically so we can now stop desiring & just tend to our needs as we once did as hunter & gatherers.  I’m going to theorise & say to evolve any further we must learn from our past because for us to go on any further in our desiring destructive ways is only going to end up disastrous for us.

To evolve takes more than one principle of mode of thought but many & many we did have throughout human history, the right timing is when to know when to change modes of thought to evolve even further.  Why has spirituality taken off with so many especially in the west at this precise time, has it got something to do with timing or is it just a coincident? Nothing in human history is just coincidence as it’s all in the timing of such changes in modes of thought which is influenced by conscious changes throughout human history.

natural

The Natural Process: In all as a human species we chose to evolve through modes of thought that were going to make us more conflictive & the more we desired the more conflictive we became, I’m theorising that it was a natural process we had to go through to build up a technological know how enough so we can cater for all our needs, yes it has been detrimental & conflictive towards ourselves & our environment but that is just the part of the process in evolving in such away. We chose to be human & to evolve as a physical species hopefully not destroying ourselves in the process.  It is probably a good time to enumerate here that everything is of the spiritual world including physical existence so it makes sense that nothing we do is not spiritual as everything that exists is of the spiritual therefore everything we do is of the natural process of evolving. I know a lot of spiritually aware people are going to disagree with this saying our spirit true selves are all loving so how can something awful be a part of our spirit?  But love is a human emotion not a spirit emotion, our true spirit selves doesn’t have or choose to have so called good or bad emotion as this would define conflict & our true spirit selves isn’t conflictive however having modes of  thought gives us humanism therefore humanistic emotions.  We have a huge array of modes of thought & there related emotions to live by that make life what it is, we have the ability to choose what mode of thought to live by but as I said before conscious changes can & do influence us in one direction or another which also is a part of the natural process.  To have chosen let’s say a spiritual mode of thought in the first place we wouldn’t have evolved as species & experience the good & bad of physical being as we would have just tended to our needs not our desires which of course isn’t a bad way to live either.

Our desires as well as our needs have been fundamentally vital for the development of a species & our conflictive modes of thought have given us human advancements to the stage now that we have become quite intellectually knowledgeable & I will theorise again to the extent that we can now live for our needs instead of living for our desires which is far less conflictive if we desire it to be or has it become a need so we don’t wipe ourselves of the face of the Earth?

The link below takes a look at modes of thought in a more detailed philosophical way than I have presented here in this post, it’s certainly worth a read in my philosophical view.

grasping concept

Written by Mathew Naismith

Grasping the Concept of Acceptance: It would seem, by the feedback I’m getting that this concept of acceptance is understood within its substance but is nonviable because it seems so ridiculous to expect anyone to actually carry out such feats especially when you take into consideration the amount of conflicts we have today, the conflicts of today seem insurmountable but are they?

Let’s look at conflicts that we have, what are they & do we need to be in conflict to live a happy full life? Conflict are only of the mind not of the spirit therefore is a mode of thought only, what if you changed that mode of thought to a less conflictive mode, our whole existence would change because our thought mode has changed, conflicts have everything to do with the way we act, think & run our lives.  We are brought up to conflict with any differences we might have to the rest of our world/environment, we are conditioned to be non-accepting to anything which isn’t of the same through our cultural & religious practices & beliefs. It’s not our own personal conflictive personality that is non-accepting because we are not born non-accepting, non-accepting it is instilled in us from a young age through a variety of ways & isn’t who we really are.

If you could think back to when we were an infant you would find out that you were a lot more accepting than in adulthood & the reason for this isn’t because of the contrasts in our world around us but the mode of thought we projected upon this diverse world. Did or would have you looked at a foreigner in distaste or see your grandparents as being old & decrepit?  The answer is no not until we become learned in non-acceptance do we think in this mode of thought.

When we become conflictive we lose this happy full life through the actual act of being non-accepting, being non-accepting & in conflict will never lead one to a happy full life but away from it.

Instead of looking at everything around you as being different try looking at it as just being consciousness because that is what everything is just pure consciousness not some individual difference to us. If we only see dissimilarity around us we will never be out of conflict & conflict is only a mode of thought that we have taken on to live by nothing more, it’s not who we really are, in other words we are not being ourselves through these mode of thoughts but just the mode of thought itself that we have taken on as being who we really are.  In fact by taking on an accepting modes of thoughts isn’t quite who we really are but it’s a lot closer than being non-accepting because all accepting is our true spiritual nature before we became human, it’s our truer self.  Shouldn’t we logically be trying to bring more of our truer self forth instead of growing away from it? This is debatable as I will explain in pt.9.

mode of thought2

The Influences of Different Modes of Thought: As I said non-accepting & being conflictive isn’t who we really are as it’s the influences of the mode of thought within our culture & religion that dictates this to us as being who we are.  Look at the main influential mode of thought these days which is consumerist materialism. Let’s take a look at this consumerist materialism, we consume what we desire either it be foods, sex, drugs & other consumable pleasures thus we have become a consumerist & materialism is a desire to own & the more we own the more we want to keep up with our new social status thus we have become materialistic, it would seem there is absolutely nothing wrong with that but there is.

Consumerist materialism is all about desire but what about the things that come into your life you don’t desire? You will obviously conflict with these because it’s not on your list of desires & the more one gets into consumerist materialism the more you will conflict with the things you haven’t got on your list of desires.  This sounds ridiculous but if you think about it for a moment & look back to when you were young, what was your first desire? To be fed & when you weren’t you became conflictive & cried, you became an instant consumerist but this isn’t the same as consumerist materialism in adulthood because of the main reason it was a need not just a desire but none the less it’s still conflictive so as a human we are going to be naturally in conflict.  The main difference between our natural & desiring non-acceptance & conflictive mode of thoughts is obvious, one is a need & the other a desire & the more we desire the more conflictive we become.

Go back a thousand years ago in human history, most people on Earth where happy to just exist & most of them did just exist without any major thought of desiring for more than what they could have, they were more accepting however they did desire more if they didn’t have enough to exist on which happened a lot because you had those in power who desired more & more & this more had to come from somewhere.  It’s these people in power that our mode of thought of consumerist materialism of today has come from which is highly conflictive which so much relates to what’s going on in the world today.

Our mode of thought is who we are at that point in time but it’s not who we truly are, who we truly are is accepting just like we were when we were in our infancy stage, we are not born to desire or to have a biased attitude as this all came after we learnt about our cultural & religious modes of thought of the time. I was brought up in a cultural society to be non-accepting of foreigners which is but one mode of influential thought that I would or wouldn’t take on as my own mode of thought.  In the end I decided against this taught mode of thought but if I didn’t I would be even more in conflict than I am today. Non-acceptance makes no sense but on the other hand acceptance makes all the sense in the world.
